C.H. Meylan, Brassus, circa 1880.Very fine, 18K gold, keyless, half-hunter, minute repeating pocket watch.
C. four-body, "bassine et filets", engine-turned covers, front with champlevé Roman chapter and inner minute ring, back with elaborate engraved initials, gold hinged cuvette. D. double-sunk, white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary sunk seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 45 mm ø (20'''), nickel, "fausses côtes" decoration, 27 jewels, straight line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, wolf-teeth winding whels, lever-set, repeating on gongs through activating a slide in the band.Dial and movement signed.Diam. 58mm.
