Anonymous, France (?), circa 1860. Rare mysterious time piece.

The movement is concealed on the gilt bronze, base with a flexible motion transmission within the swan neck stem. Glass dial with Roman numerals. Steel hands (minute hand lacking). Silvered 20"' bar movement with going barrel, cylinder escapement, plain three armed brass balance. In good condition. Height 22,5 cm.
