Henry Capt, Genève, circa 1878. A good 18-carat gold hunting cased minute repeating watch with independant seconds, presented in 1878 by Charles de Bourbon, comte de Villafranca to Mr. Charles Roissard de Bellet.
Heavy four body, "bassine" engine turned case, the cover with a champlevé enamelled monogram below a Ducal crown. Glazed cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, concentric minute ring and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel " Lys" hands. Good nickel double train 18movement, "faussescôtes" decoration, 29 jewels, the two gold trains of wheels are wound simultaneously. Going train with equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance-spring. Independant second train after Moïse Pouzait, striking on gongs by means of a slide on the band. In good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
