Signed "W.C.M.C.", England. Hall Marks for Chester 1896. Unusual 18-carat gold, centre seconds pocket chronometer with 34 minute tourbillon.
Four body "bassine et filet" polished case. Egg shell two part enamel dial with Roman numerals and concentric 1/5th second division. Gold "spade" hands and blued steel center second hand. Three quarter plate 20''movement, 18 jewels, in screwed setting with going barrel, right angle lever cut escapement, cut bimetaIIic balance with gold screws, Breguet balance spring. The escapement is set on a 34 minute revolving carriage driven by the second's wheel pinion, therefore the term of "Tourbillon" as inscribed on the dial is justified. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
