H.R. Ekegren Genève, Switzerland, made for F.E. Caldwell & Co, Philadelphia, circa 1890. Good 18-carat gold minute repeating watch with split second chronograph and special 60 minute recorder.
Four body massive "bassine" polished case with gold cuvette engine turned on the edge. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, subsidiary seconds and recorder. Gold Louis XV and steel chronograph hands. Nickel 18movement, 32 jewels, straight line equilibrated lever escapement, cut bimetaIIic balance, Breguet balance-spring with micrometric index. Striking on gongs by mean of a slide on the band. The minute recorder is driven by the minute hand and nor by the chronograph as usual. Very good condition. Diam. 52 mm.
