Fine 20-carat gold and enamel pair cased quarter repeating watch. Double body engraved outer case, the pierced and engraved bezel with small enamelled floral decoration, the engraved back pierced and chased on the edge with a fine 'champlevé' painted enamel bunch of flowers (slightly restored), diamond set pushpiece. Double body inner case with pierced and engraved scrolled inhabited foliage and a mask on the edge. Slightly later white enamel dial with Arabic numerals (hair crack). Gold Louis XV hands. Silver dust cap. Full plate gilt brass movement with column pillars, ' fusée' and chain, verge escapement, plain three armed balance and English cock, repeating on a bell. In good condition. Diam. 48 mm.
