Extremely fine and rare 18-carat gold and enamel pearl set centre second watch for the Chinese market. Triple body case with fixed cuvette decorated overall with a 'paillonné' decoration within a fine 'paillonné' enamelled pierced frame, set with split pearls, the back with a very nice enamel painted scene depicting two young ladies and a gentleman in a landscape, outer 'paillonné' decoration. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute and second ring. Gold pierced 'scoties' hands. Fine gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, 'fusee' and chain, cylinder escapement, plain brass three armed balance, the English cock partly sunk on a finely engraved decorative plate applied on the back plate, diamond endstone. In very good condition. Diam. 65 mm.
