Very fine 18-carat gold and enamel pearl set quarter repeating musical double face watch, with four automatons, after an automaton watch from the SANDOZ collection. Three body 'Empire' case with pearl set bezels and reeded band. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, blued steel Breguet hands. On the rear face, very fine composition of 'champlevé' enamel and three coloured gold, depicting a theatre scene, with a dansing couple in front of a mirror, two other automaton musicians play the harp and beat time on each side of the stage. Two train gilt brass movement with going barrels, ruby cylinder escapement, plain brass three armed balance, repeating on gongs. Musical train with pointed disc and 22 vibrating steel blades. The polished steel automaton work is set on a specially made level added to the original XIXth century movement. In very good condition.
