Rare movement of a 'Wondering time' watch, in a later case. Specially made gilt silver triple body case with fixed cuvette. Fine 'champlevé' silver dial with an applied enamel painted portrait of a lady framed in a gilt brass decorative plate pierced and engraved with scrolls and animals. The hours in Roman numerals appear successively on the volvelle and point the minutes on the edge of the semi-circular aperture, inner indication of the quarters of hours. Gilt brass full plate movement with 'tulip' pillars, verge escapement, plain three armed steel balance, English cock with ruby endstone. In good condition. Diam. 65 mm.
