Very rare and important moon phase astronomical pendant watch. Octogonal 'fermé' type case, gilt brass body, silver cover and back, 'tulip' pendant. St. Sebastien engraved on the cover, St. Jean Baptiste on the back, further floral decoration. Silver off-set chapter ring with Roman numerals, subsidiary silver calendar ring above. Gilt brass dial plate, finely engraved with scrolls and landscapes, apertures for the age and phases of the moon, the months with their number of days, days of the week with the symbols of their planets. Blued steel hands. Gilt brass full plate shaped movement with amphora pillars, three wheel train, 'fusée' with gut line, verge escapement with circular foliot, pin cock pierced and engraved with strawburry flowers, spring tension adjustment by a click. In very good condition. 73 x 46 mm.
