Fine and extremely rare double face 18-carat gold and enamel watch with animated passing automatons and visible balance. Double body case, the chiselled bezels with ' champlevé' enamelled decoration. Off-set dial with Arabic numerals, subsidiary 'fast/slow' adjustment indication and aperture revealing the balance. Gold Breguet hands. 'Champlevé' enamelled decoration (restored), on the rear side: cornucopia, doves, dog, urn and foliage with an aperture for the animated automatons passing over a painted landscape background with an automaton waterfall. Double train full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with plain polished steel four armed balance. Diam. 56 mm.
