Very fine and rare double face 18-carat gold and enamel watch with passing automatons. Double body polished case, the bezels with a ' champlevé' enamelled decoration (slightly restored). Off-set white enamel dial with Breguet numerals, small 'slow/fast' adjusting sector above. Gold 'Croissant' hands. On the rear face, an enamel painted scene of two children in a garden (slightly restored) with a ' champlevé' enamelled fountain and further decoration. Gold chiselled automatons are passing in an aperture over an enamel painted landscape. Full plate gilt brass movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with plain brass three armed balance. In very good condition. Diam. 52 mm.
