Rare and very unusual 20-carat gold and enamel double face night and day calendar watch. Double body case, finely engraved in a rafter pattern and with two fine 'champlevé' painted translucent enamel flower garlands. Gilt brass engraved dial with green enamelled decoration, the white enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute numerals on enamelled reserves. Gold Louis XV hands. White enamel dial on the rear face with three subsidiary dials for: the days of the week, the months, and the dates, outer indication in black for the night time hours, in red for the day time hours (hair cracks). Blued steel 'spade' hands. Full plate gilt brass movement, signed on the engraved dial rim, with baluster pillars, fusee and chain, cylinder escapement with plain brass three armed balance. In good condition. Diam. 50 mm.
