Rare and very fine 18-carat gold and enamel pearl set moon phase astronomical watch with special escapement and centre seconds. In a gilt brass glazed outer case. Double body case with split pearl set bezel, the back with a very fine enamel painted pastoral scene depicting a young couple and two sheeps. Off-set white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, subsidiary dial above for the age and phases of the moon (hair crack). Gold hands. Gilt brass movement drawn from the flat Hessen caliber with the barrel passing through the back plate and secured by a bridge, virgule escapement, plain three armed brass balance with polished steel endpiece. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
