Good three coloured 18-carat gold watch with contemporary French 18-carat gold chatelaine bearing the Julien ALATERRE Fermier General mark, seal and a key. Double body engraved case, the bezel chiselled with a floral decoration. Gardening trophies and further floral decoration chiselled on the back. The four element chased chatelaine with trophies and an allegorical evocation of love and fidelity. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring (slightly chipped around the winding hole). Gold Louis XV hands. Gilt brass full plate movement with baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with plain brass three armed balance, continental cock and polished steel endpiece. In very good condition. Diam. 42 mm.
