Fromenteel & Clarke (London), circa 1700. Very fine 20K gold pair cased calender watch. the double body outer case engraved overall with inhabited foliage and masks in the manner of the French Louis XIV onions.

Plain double body bassine inner case. Gold champleve dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, the calendar aperture above figure XII, the center pierced and engraved with scrolls and birds over a blued steel background. Blued steel "poker and beatle hands". Very fine full plate movement with elaborate tulip pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with a plain steel three armed balance and a very fine gilt brass English cock pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage. Signed on the dial and the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
