Gribelin a Paris, circa 1690. Very fine gilt bronze Louis XIV central winding oignon with a single hand and a pendulum cock.

Double body "oignon" case, chased overall with scrolls, foliage, enterlaces, birds and dolphins. Gilt bronze dial engraved with birds, the Roman numerals on enamel cartouches. Blued steel single hand. Fine gilt brass full plate movement with Egyptian pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with a plain steel three armed balance, fine pendulum cock engraved with scrolls and birds. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 62 mm.
