Martinos a Paris, circa 1700. (Geneve) Very fine silver cased Louis XIV oignon with a visible enamel cock and a pendulum.

Three body "oignon" case, glazed on both sides, the bezels with a silver open work of engraved foliage and interlaces applied over gilt brass. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gilt brass hands. Very fine gilt brass full plate movement with Egyptian pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with a plain brass three armed balance, very fine enamel cock with a painted portrait of a young lady playing the mandolin, the Mock pendulum in form of a fly, oscillating in front of her neck. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
