Longines, Suisse, made for Edward Prior, London, for the Islamic market, retailed by Nassib K. Djezvjian, Constantinople, circa 1910. Very fine 18K gold and enamelled diamond set keyless hunting cased watch.

Four body massive "demi-bassine et filet" case, the band with engraved geometrical decoration, the cover with a painted enamelled view of the Constantinople St. Sophie mosque, diamond inlaid chased floral decoration over a green translucent enamel on the border (slightly restored). Similar ornament on the back with a fine composition of flowers and a mosque in the background. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Turkish numerals and subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands. Gilt brass 18" movement, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance. Breguet balance spring, with the No. 3884 Swiss patented micrometric index. In good condition. Diam. 51 mm.
