Charles Oudin, Palais Royal 52 - Paris, circa 1880. Very fine and rare, small 18k gold and rock crystal hunting cased quarter repeating diamond set half skeletonized keyless fob watch.
Three body "bassine et filets" case, rock crystal cover and back, a framed rose diamond set bunch of flowers applied on the back. The winding crown in the form of a royal crown and diamond set band and bow. Crystal dial with the rose diamond inlaid letters of the motto: " Dieu mon droit" in place of the numerals, applied on black enameled cartouches. Diamond set Louis XV hands gilt brass, 11 1/2" movement, 29 jewels, equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. Signed on the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 33 mm.
