Dent, Watchmaker to the Queen, 16 Strand and 34 Royal Exchange London, No. 32154, circa 1890. Very fine 18k gold and enamel diamond set half hunting case keyless quarter repeating fob watch, in original fitted case.
Double body massive "demi-bassine et filets" case, the cover of blue enamel with scallop edge, diamond inlaid decoration and white Roman numerals around the dial aperture. The enamel back with a similar diamond inlaid decoration and whit e Roman numerals around the dial aperture. The enamel back with a similar diamond inlaid decoration, a rose at the center. Fine gold engine turned dial with Roman numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. Fine gilt brass 13? three quarter plate movement, 26 jewels, screwed settings, English lateral lever escapement, blued steel balance spring with a terminal curve. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide the hand. Signed on the dial and the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 40 mm.
