?Snuff Box with Quarter Repeating Watch? Guidon, Rémond, Gide & Compagnie, Geneva. Made between 1792 and 1801. Very fine and very rare, 18K gold, enamel and pearl-set snuff box with built-in quarter repeating watch by Romilly à Paris, No. 331.

Rectangular with canted corners, hinged cover, sides and base panels overlaid with Royal blue translucent enamel over zig-zag engine turning, decorated with gold paillon borders, the corners and edges with turquoise and white champlevé enamel decoration and multi-colored paillon borders, hinged and sprung bezel set with split pearls, release button at the edge. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals and outer minute divisions, Arabic quarter- hour numerals, winding aperture at 2. Blued steel ?Breguet? hands. M. 27 mm., hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, continental balance cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial, repeating on a bell activated by a slide above 12 o?clock.
