?Minute-Repeating Chronograph? Attributed to C. H. Meylan, Brassus, ?Minute- Repeating Chronograph?, No. 5692. Made for Theodore B. Starr, Madison Square, New York, circa 1890. Very fine, hunting-cased, keyless, minute-repeating 18K pink gold pocket watch with chronograph and instantaneous register.
C. Four-body, "demi-bassine", solid, polished, hinged gold cuvette with inscription. D. White enamel with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds and instantaneous 30-minute register dials. Pink gold ?spade" hands. M. Cal. 19''', maillechort, "fausses côtes" decoration, 34 jewels, straight line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, antimagnetic Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed by the retailer. Diam. 50 mm.
