Precision Timekeeper with 1 ComplicationAntide Janvier No. 383, circa 1803.Very fine month-going center-seconds mahogany mantle regulator striking hours and half hours.
C. Mahogany, glazed on both sides and front, column corners with gilt brass capitals and base, rectangular cresting above molded cornice, front and sides in one piece sliding forward for easy access to the movement, front door with lock with a pin hole opening, molded base with gilt brass square feet. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer minute ring, winding apertures. Gilt brass "fleur-de-lis" and "poker" hands and counterpoised blued-steel center-seconds hand. M. Brass, round, going barrls, pin-wheel dead-beat lever escapement with pins on one side, steel-brass gridiron pendulum mounted to a brass bracket secured to the back panel of the case, knife-edge suspension, striking on a bell set above the movement, count wheel on the back plate.Signed on the dial and pendulum bob, which is also numbered.Dim. Height 49 cm, width 28 cm.
