C. Four-body,"bassine et filets", solid, engine-turned covers with polished borders, polished band. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, outermost red chronograph track divided into fifths of a second, calibrated from 0 ? 300. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 18???, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 19 jewels, straightline lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, visible chronograph work, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial signed. Diam. 53 mm.

A. Huguenin & Fils The firm was founded in the mid-19th century in Le Locle by Adolphe Huguenin. They exhibited watches and chronometers at the International Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876. The firm registered its name in 1880 as required by the 1879 law with the trademark "A. Huguenin & Sons, Locle" and for chronometers "A. Huguenin & Fils".
