?Four Day Marine Chronometer? M. Viel-Robin, Paris, No. 151. Made circa 1870. Fine and unusual, mahogany, four-day going marine chronometer with pivoted detent escapement and power reserve indication.
C. Two-body, mahogany, vacant ivory signature plaque. Brass bowl and gimbal suspension. D. Silvered with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and Up-and- Down scale. Polished steel Breguet hands. M. Brass two frame with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain and Harrison?s maintaining power, Henri Robert type pivoted detent escapement set in a smaller circular cage, two-arm compensation balance with wedge-shaped temperature weights and timing screws, free sprung blued steel helical balance spring. Dial signed. Dial diam. 115 mm. Dim. 18.5 x 19.5 x 19.5 cm.
