A Friolet au Locle, Swiss, circa 1760. Fine 20 ct. gold and enamel pair cased, quarter repeating watch.

Outer double body, engraved with roccoco style and chased in high relief with foliage and flowers, back panel inset with a finely painted and detailed polychrome enamel scene of Cesar and Cleopatra (scratched). Double body inner, bassine, polished with micro engraved and pin hole pierced foliage on the back and engraved front bezel. GiIt brass dust cap. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with column pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain steel three arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English cock. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Signed on the back plate and the gilt dust cap.. In very good condition. Diam.48 mm.
