C. Arched top, three stage, beech , oak and veneer, plain banded plinth, glazed door to trunk, arched hood with fluted chamfered corners, moulded arch, side windows. D. Full plate silvered with applied chapter ring for the hours and seconds, Roman numerals for the 24 hours, Arabic seconds, subsidiary minute dial in upper centre; blued steel hands. M. Rectangular plated, plain turned pillars, dead-beat anchor escapement, steel anchor arm with jewelled pallets, four-arm escape wheel, grooved barrel, gut lire, cylindrical brass cased weight. Adjustable nine-rod grid-iron compensated pendulum with double pivot suspension in an inverted V-frame outside the }Jack plate; lenticular penduhun weight with bottom adjustment knob, silvered amplitude scale.
