Dent, London, No. 1036, circa 1840's. Fine small early, gilt brass cased, eight day going, timepiece carriage clock lever escapement.

C. Gilt brass, engraved all over, panels depicting flowers in vase and lake landscapes with castles, glazed top window. Cast gilt brass handle representing two sea-serpents. D. Gilt and engraved brass within cast and engraved rectangular (rame, Roman chapters, blued steel "fleur de lys" bands. M. Rectangular brass, fusee and chain, maintaining power, platform, lever escapement, underslung, single roller, pointedtooth wheel, plain brass balance, flat balance spring, ruby endstone to balance cock, jewelling to contrate and escape wheel arbors. Signed on movement. In very good condition. Dim. 13.5 x 10.5 x 8.5 cm. excluding handle.
