Not signed, No. 3003, with London hallmarks for 1830. Fine and unusual 18 ct. gold keyless pull winding watch.

C. Double body "forme quatre baguettes", engineturned, marked "H.G." (Henry Galloway). D. Gold engine-turned with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds; Gold Breguet hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with turned pillars, 15 jewels in screwed settings, fusee with chais and maintaining power, Massey lever escapement, plain gold threearm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass cock engraved with scrolling foliage, diamond endstone. Unusual pull wind device by means of the flat cap, set in the pendant, winding when pulled outwards, the sma11 chain being rewound automatically. Gilt brass dust cap. In very good condition. Diam. 49 mm.

Note: This pull wind mechanism differs from that invented by Viner, roughly at the saine time, in that it can be fitted, as here, on watches with fusee and chain. Furthermore, in this watch, the winding knob, once pulled, does not have to be pushed back manually, the short chain being rewound automatically.
