"Diamonds and Rubies" Areko. Made circa 1950. Very fine and elegant, asymmetrical 14K pink gold, diamond and ruby-set lady's wristwatch with concealed dial and integral bracelet.

C. Two-body, rhomboid, polished, domed hinged cover over the dial set with 12 round cut rubies and 22 round-cut diamonds, hinged lugs, at 12 set with 4 round cut rubies and a round cut diamond with large fan-shapped attachment for the bracelet, at 6 with 6 roundcut rubies and 2 round-cut diamonds with small hinged attachment for the bracelet. D. Gold with painted Arabic and dot hours. Blued steel "baton" hands. M. 5.5 x 6.5?'', rectangular, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance-spring, index regulator. Dial signed Areko, movement signed Unimex Watch Co., Case signed W.C.C. Dim. 19 x 47 mm. Thickness 10.5 mm. Approx. overall length 165 mm.
