Gold and Diamond Evening Bag Paris, 1952

Of rigid, cylindrical shape decorated in a "wave" guilloché pattern having a baguette and round diamond-set push piece and a diamond-set lever which reveals a rotating oval section in one end turning the yellow gold "day" bag into a diamondset "evening" bag by exposing a pavé-set floral motif centrally set with a square-cut diamond; the interior has a lipstick holder, covered powder compartment and a fitted nlirror behind which is a tortoise shell comb and liner and adjustable cigarette compartment, in 18K yellow gold and platinum. Measuring approx. 14 x 5.5 mm. Accompanied by fitted leather box. Cartier Certificate of Authenticity N° 2510.
