Silk, Enamel and Gem-Set Handbag Paris, circa 1929

Depicting Oriental style hunting scenes in fine silk brocade with yellow gold frame, one side of which is pavé-set with round diamonds and equispaced with double rows of baguette diamonds and floral motifs designed from carved emeralds and rubies with onyx stems, the other side decorated with cream coloured enamel stripes and diamond accents, topped with black enamel having a long oval, carved ruby clasp enhanced with black enamel and round diamonds, the frame attached to a double rope chain handle; mounted in 18K yellow gold and platinum. Measuring approx. 15.5 x 18.3 cm. Cartier Certificate of Authenticity N° 2406.
