Of oval shape in black enamel with brick-red enamel ends and yellow gold Greek key frieze motifs, the hinged lid accented with a round cabochon sapphire encircled by rose-cut diamonds; the front centered with a brick-red enamel plaque and framed in a rose-cut diamond foliate design, in platinum and 14K yellow gold; the inside of the lid is inscribed "Mrs. Wni. de Forest Man/ce, New York, City". Measuring approx. 75 x 36 mm. Cartier Certificate of Authenticity N° 2113.
