Two-body, Louis XVI, the rose-cut diamond set bezel chased with swag garland decoration, the back with a painted on enamel scene of two ships at anchor off the coast, the crew fishing nearby, rose-cut diamond set thumb-pieces and pendant. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals interspersed with rose-cut diamonds, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals. Rose-cut diamond set Louis XV hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, continental style gilt brass balance cock, silvered regulation dial, repeating adjustment arm, repeating on a bell activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 41 mm.
