Unsigned, attributable to Henry Capt, Geneva, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18K gold and enamel, diamond-set harp with music.

Finely chased musical trophies on the back of the instrument, blue flinque enamelled side panels with quivers finely chased within navette split-pearl set frames and further champleve enamelled musical trophies, a rose diamond set at the end of each rope. M. Gilt brass with pointed barrel and six stacked vibrating steel blades. Dim. 74 x 37 mm.

In the period this harp was made, Henry Capt and Piguet Meylan were producing such types of musical objects of vertu in Geneva. The musical movement with pin-barrel and stacked steel blades is very much in the style of those produced by Henry Capt.
