Unsigned, Swiss, circa 1825. Fine and rare 18K gold and enamel form watch, designed as an opening tulip flower with stem.
C. Gold stem with engraved leaves, six interleaved petals enamelled in mottled red and white, with three pearl set stamens, with green base, and opening to reveal the dial on a raised bowl by depressing one of the leaves on the stem. D. White enamel, Arabic hour numerals, winding aperture at 2 o'clock, gold Breguet hands. M. Gilt, full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with flat spring and regulator. Continental cock. Dims. 110 x 27 mm.
