Unsigned, attributable to Henry Capt, Geneva, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18K gold and enamel, pearl and diamond-set harp built-in watch and music, accompanied by the gold and enamel matching key.
C. The watch is fitted on the back of the instrument, below musical trophies finely painted on a small enamel panel. Hinged split-pearl set bezel. The side panels of blue flinque enamel centred by a painted torch on one side, a quiver on the other, both within split-pearl set navette frames, further blue champleve enamelled decoration decoration and a rose diamond set at the end of each rope. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel "spade " hands. M. Hinged gilt brass trapezoidal full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator, gilt brass continenetal cock with polished steel end-piece. Musical train with pin-barrel and six stacked vibrating steel blades. Dim. 82 x 35 mm.
