Blanc l'Aine & Compagnie, Swiss, circa 1800. Very fine 18K gold and enamel, moon phase, slim centre second pearl-set watch with special escapement, in a gilt brass gilt protecting case.

C. Double body Directoire with split-pearl set bezels, the back enamel panel painted with a pastoral scene from the Old Testament. Gilt brass glazed outer case. D. White enamel' eccentric with Arabic numerals, symmetrical dial above for phases and age of the moon. Gold "poker and beetle " hands. M. Hinged sli m gilt brass full plate, the barrel passing through the back plate secured by a bridge, virgule escapement, plain gold three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Signed on the dial and back plate. Diam. 60 mm.
