C. Outer two body sharkskin covered. Inner two body silvered bronze bassine, pierced and engraved with foliage. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and centre brass revolving alarm setting disc. Blued steel Louis XIV hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with turned baluster pillars, fusee with chain, later cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring and gilt brass Louis XV continental cock. Alarm striking on a bell. Signed on the back plate. Diam. 99 mm.
