Gubelin, Lucern, Swiss, No. 2582, completed in 1937 for the Coronation of George VI, H.M. the King of England and H.M. the Queen Elizabeth, in 1937, accompanied with the original key. Very fine and rare table clock, designed as a lantern clock, from a small series of 8 pieces.
C. Gilt brass in theform of a lantern clock with glazed back and topped by a stylised Royal Crown, The face engraved: Coronation - H.M. King George VI - H.M. Queen Elizabeth - May 12th 1937 and applied with the attribute of the Royalty an profile portraits of the sovereigns. D. Applied gilt brass chapter ring with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel "fleurs de lys " hands. M. Brass rectangular with going barrel, 13 jewels, platform with lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Dim. 20 x 9,5 x 9,5 cm.
