Geneva, No. 744, case No. 7681. Made circa 1820. Very fine 18K gold musical watch playing on the hour or at will, with quarter-repeat.
C. Four-body, "Empire", by ?FLB?, engine-turned, gilt hinged cuvette, slide at 1 o'clock to activate the music, slide at 2 for music/silent. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals and outer minute track. Gilt ?Cathedral? hands. M. 23???, gilt brass, fixed barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance with flat balance spring, sur plateau pinned disc musical movement, 25 tuned vibrating blades acting on both sides of the pinned disc, repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Numbered on the movement under the dial, case punched with the maker's mark. Diam. 57
