Japy, Beaucourt, No. 678, case No. 1252. Made circa 1820. Very fine 18K gold pocket watch with quarter-repeat.
C. Four-body, "Empire", by ?SNS?, engine-turned, faceted band, gilt hinged cuvette. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals and outer minute track. Blued steel ?Breguet? hands. M. 23???, gilt brass, full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement, under-sprung three-arm balance with flat balance spring, repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Numbered on the movement, signed under the dial, case punched with the maker's mark. Diam. 55 mm.
