Favre Leuba & Co., Bombay, No. 70172. Made in Switzerland for the Indian Market, circa 1900. Very fine, large, nickel, 8-day, astronomic keyless Goliath watch with triple calendar and moon phases.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished. Hinged nickel cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for seconds, date, days of the week and the months, aperture for the moon phases. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 58 mm, frosted gilt, 8-day, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 75 mm.
