LONGINES, VERY LARGE CENTER SECONDS STEEL POCKET WATCH Longines, movement No. 7418779, case No. 23672. Made for the Belgian agent Bessire in 1948. Fine and rare, stainless steel, antimagnetic keyless pocket watch with chronograph and central progressive 60-minute register. Accompanied by the original fitted box and a Longines extract from the archives.
Four-body, bassine, polished. Hinged nickel cuvette. Silver, black Arabic painted numerals, outermost second divisions with Arabic five-second numerals. Blued steel hands. Cal. 37.9, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement with gold pallet fork, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
