JAMES PICARD MINUTE-REPEATER HUNTING CASED YELLOW GOLD James Picard, Geneva, case number No. 30768,movement number 3325. Made circa 1880. Very fine and rare, large and heavy, 14K yellow gold, keyless, minute-repeating, hunting cased pocket watch.
Four-body, "bassine et filets", reeded band, Hinged polished gold cuvette with dedication engraving White enamel with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. 45 mm.(20```), nickel plated, fausses côtes decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band
