Cartier, Paris, movement ordered from Jaeger- LeCoultre on January 24,1913. Extremely fine and almost certainly unique 18K gold keyless dual-time dress watch with chronograph and digital perpetual calendar. Accompanied by a gold chain.

C. Double body, massive, "Empire", polished, the back centred with a chased monogram "E.E.T." and engraved inside with the name: Edward E. Thalmann. D. Frosted silver with "Empire" Roman numerals, outer Arabic minutes and chronograph ring, subsidiary seconds and aperture for digital months, clays of the week and perpetual calendar. Blued steel Breguet hands, blued steel and gold "spade" hand for local time. M. 17"', rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 23 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring with micrometric adjustment. Chronograph with visible work and button on the winding crown. Signed on the dial and movement. Diam. 51 mm.
