J. FOURNIER STERLING SILVER POCKET / DECK WATCH J. Fournier, Horloger de la Marine, Bd. du Montparnasse, No. 57, Paris, No. 140. Made in the 1930s. Fine and rare, large, keyless, sterling silver pocket watch. Accompanied by the original double hinged wooden box.
Four-body, "bassine" solid, hinged sterling silver cuvette with inscription, case back engraved: No. 140 J. Fournier. White enamel with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel spade hands. Cal. 44 mm. frosted gilt, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
