IWC INGENIEUR STEEL International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, "Ingenieur," movement No. 1726604. Made circa 1960. Fine, water-resistant, center seconds, self-winding, anti-magnetic, "Staybrite" stainless steel wristwatch with a stainless steel IWC buckle.
Three-body, polished and brushed, antimagnetic cap to protect the movement against magnetic fields, screwed- down case-back, flat bezel, concave lugs. Satiné silver with applied steel faceted baton indexes, outer minute division. Luminous steel dauphine hands. Brown with applied steel baton markers, outer minute track and triangular luminous dots, date aperture. Steel luminous baton hands. Cal. 853, rhodium plated, oeil de perdrix decoration, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring, micrometer regulator. Cal. 1310, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, self-compensating flat balance spring, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions and temperatures, shock-protected, 21k gold lined rotor.
