International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, "Mark XV", Ref. 3253. Produced in the 1990's.Fine, center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel aviator's wristwatch with 42 hours autonomy, date and a stainless steel IWC bracelet. Accompanied by a fitted box and certificate.

C. two-body, polished and brushed, screwed- down case back, soft iron core to provide an anti-magnetic screen, screwed-down winding crown, sapphire crystal. D. black with tritium-coated Arabic numerals, square, bâton and triangular indexes, aperture for the date. "Bâton" tritium-coated hands. M. Cal. C37524 rhodium-plated, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 39 mm.

Notes

The first pilot's wristwatch was made by IWC in 1940 and was called "Mark IX". These large watches also made by Lange Söhne, Wempe, Stowa and Laco were tested one by one by a special department in the Gesundbrunnen near Glashütte. Production of the "Mark X", which was used by the British, German and American Armies, began in 1944. In 1946 the "Mark XI" was launched and was used by the British RAF. In the 1990's, after 60 years, IWC continued the production up to the "Mark XV".
